Win or bin: Kinect

Recently Kinect has been released. It has pro's but with every good thing there has to be a bad thing. I will give my description of how Kinect wins and why it should be binned.

Kinect is very useful. It can be used by all the family an
d virtually every age range. No-matter what disabilities users have their is something for everybody. Whether you've just come home from football training and your absolutely exhausted you can use voice control, whether you get an adrenaline rush and you NEED to release it you can play games that involve a lot of energy. Whether you can't walk you can play a racing game. The possibilities are endless.

Another thing is that Kinect beats other consoles/accessories. The Wii still needs a controller and buttons are still included. The same with the new PlayStation move. The Kinect however is something totally different. It is the controller redesigned. It works in many conditions, light or dark, the room being noisy or quiet, when there are several people in the room. Also what you can do with Kinect is amazing. I mean come on, automatic sign in with facial recognition? The power to join someone playing without the need to even pause?
Kinect is also very beneficial, whether it be for fun and parties to personal training in your living room. Kinect does it all.

Having said this there are many cons. The fact that not everything on the Xbox 360 can be controlled by Kinect. Like Facebook and twitter, Kinect tuning, prompt messages, Xbox live marketplace. So it is extremely annoying when you turn on your Xbox and you think you don't even need to think about controllers and a prompt message is there so you have to find the controller just to click on OK or cancel. Also the fact that in some lighting conditions it makes controlling and playing just crazy but the Wii and PlayStation move don't have these problems! Also you need more room than the PlayStation move or Wii because for those all you need to do is move your arms or sometimes legs where as Kinect your whole body!(But this can add to a more exciting experience).  These are some of the biggest problems Kinect has.

So at sometimes Kinect can be a bit annoying but it's worth it for all the good things. It's like being pinched but getting a $500 check each time. So Microsoft you OWN because I say Kinect is for the win!
